Connecting to our Ancestral Mothers

Trauma often leaves a long-lasting impact on our lives, especially when it's imprinted before birth. While commonly thought to affect only the individual who experiences it, studies suggest it can profoundly influence the next generation.

Recent research highlights the transmission of trauma from parents to children, even without direct exposure to the traumatic event. Known as intergenerational or ancestral trauma, this phenomenon is increasingly recognised. Studies indicate that approximately 20% of women experience stress, anxiety, or depression during pregnancy, impacting the foetal brain due to prolonged stress states (Pampaka et al., 2018).

In this class we will be connecting to our Ancestral Mothers, as they are very much a part of who we are, they also carried us in our wombs whilst we were eggs inside our mother. Embracing this connection will help us to channel the wisdom of our ancestors and bring forward any knowledge, gifts and insight which may benefit our lives at present.

Aiding in the healing process, we will address any emotional and physical trauma that may have been passed down through our lineage and infuse this with positive energy, forgiveness and compassion.
