The brain plays a pivotal role in the health and functioning of cells throughout the body by regulating and coordinating numerous physiological processes. Acting as the control centre, the brain manages essential functions such as heart rate, digestion, and respiration, ensuring that cells receive the resources they need to function properly.

 

Through the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, the brain regulates hormones that influence cell metabolism, growth, and repair, maintaining cellular health and balance.

 

Additionally, the brain manages the body's stress response, producing stress hormones that can impair cellular function if not properly controlled. Neurotransmitters produced by the brain affect mood, cognition, and overall well-being, influencing cellular activity through nerve signal modification.

 

Cognitive functions like thinking, memory, and decision-making guide behaviours and lifestyle choices crucial for cellular health, such as diet, exercise, and sleep. The brain also oversees autonomic functions, ensuring efficient delivery of oxygen and nutrients to cells while removing waste products. Its neuroplasticity, or ability to adapt and reorganise, supports recovery and regeneration at the cellular level.

In this class our focus is on the brain, we have tailored a unique neurographic art exercise and mediation around healing the brain. Included in this class is also deeper insight into the functions of the brain and the impacts past traumas and belief systems can have on the rest of our bodies.

 

Healing can take time, and is a journey of deeper awareness and self-discovery. We encourage adding relaxing and therapeutic exercises into your daily routine in order to feel the full benefits. 

 

Guidance: 

We want to gently acknowledge that emotions may surface during our exploration. It's important to prioritise your comfort and well-being. Keeping a journal at the side of you is recommended, in case you want to write down any of your feelings, emotions or memories which may surface during the class. 

 

Equipment needed: 

  • Pen of your personal preference (Sharpie, fine liner, marker pen, gel pen, ink)
  • Paper (Size and colour of your preference - Black is used) 
  • Colouring Equipment of your preference (Crayons, Felt tips, Coloured Pens, Watercolour, Chalk, Wax Crayons)
