Understanding the Masculine Energy (Yang)
 
Masculinity typically encompasses qualities traditionally associated with men, yet akin to femininity, they transcend gender boundaries. 
 
Characteristics commonly linked with masculinity include strength, encompassing physical, emotional, and mental resilience; assertiveness, demonstrating confidence in expressing opinions, desires, and boundaries; logic, emphasising rationality, problem-solving, and analytical thinking; independence, reflecting autonomy and self-reliance in decision-making; courage, the readiness to confront challenges, risks, and uncertainties; leadership, involving taking charge and guiding others toward common goals; and being action-oriented, displaying initiative and proactivity in achieving objectives. 
 
These traits are not innate to biological sex but rather social constructs influenced by cultural norms and historical contexts. Individuals possess a blend of feminine and masculine traits irrespective of their gender identity. Embracing the full spectrum of human qualities, rather than adhering strictly to one set, is crucial for leading fulfilling and authentic lives.
 
In this class we will be taking you on a journey into connecting with your masculine energy, with a guided Breath-work, meditation and Neurographic Art exercise based around the theme of the Yang energy. 
 
GUIDANCE: We want to gently acknowledge that emotions may surface during our exploration. It's important to prioritise your comfort and well-being. Keeping a journal by your side is good to take notes, or even a piece of paper. 
 
Equipment needed:
- Pen of your personal preference (Sharpie, fine liner, marker pen, gel pen, ink)
- Paper (Size of your preference)
- Colouring Equipment of your preference (Crayons, Felt tips, Coloured Pens, Watercolour, Chalk, Wax Crayons)
