    From a scientific perspective, addiction is understood as a complex brain disorder influenced by genetic, environmental, and neurobiological factors. It manifests through compulsive behaviours driven by changes in the brain’s reward system, often leading to destructive patterns. Evidence-based treatments, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy and medication-assisted interventions, provide crucial support in overcoming these challenges.

     

    When these spiritual and scientific perspectives converge, they form a holistic approach to addiction treatment. By addressing the physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of the individual, this integrated approach helps to restore balance, enabling a deeper sense of wholeness, purpose, and fulfilment on the journey to recovery.

     

    Over the course of these four weeks we will be exploring addiction at its roots, giving you the tools to help you combat addiction, or to help assist you in coping with people in your life going through addiction. Using the power of Neurographic Art, meditation and breathwork to help you tap into your subconscious mind, we will be working on creating new neural pathways, whilst helping you to relax, and inspiring new thought processes and perspectives.

    GUIDANCE: We want to gently acknowledge that emotions may surface during our exploration. It's important to prioritise your comfort and well-being. Keeping a journal by your side is good to take notes, or even a piece of paper. 

     

    Equipment needed:

    - Pen of your personal preference (Sharpie, fine liner, marker pen, gel pen, ink)

    - Paper (Size and colour of your preference)

    - Colouring Equipment of your preference (Crayons, Felt tips, Coloured Pens, Watercolour, Chalk, Wax Crayons)
